ABOUT

Christine Walker is an artist, writer, and strategic visual facilitator. Her paintings are exhibited in galleries and private and corporate collections. She holds an MFA in Writing and Literature (Fiction) from Bennington College, an MA in Creative Arts Interdisciplinary from San Francisco State University, and a BFA from the University of Kansas. Her multidisciplinary career has also encompassed graphic design, illustration, contemporary dance stage design, and teaching art and writing.

Her book A Painter’s Garden: Cultivating the Creative Life (Warner Books, narrative nonfiction, 1997) contains paintings and drawings based on her gardens and essays inspired by her journal/sketchbooks about creative process. She is the illustrator and co-author with Dennis Hysom of award-winning children’s media, including Wooleycat’s Musical Theater (Tortuga Press, 2003, book with song CD). She lives in Sonoma County, California.
